Hanging out with the Gang!
This experience offers all of the Meet & Greet Experience and then allows you to extend your stay for up to a total of 2 hours to provide a bit more freedom to relax and enjoy. So, if you would like to bring a picnic, celebrate a birthday, sketch the animals or simply relax with a book or your own music, then choose ‘Hanging out with the Gang’. We will provide the picnic table, chairs and sun umbrella in the field and of course – The Gang! The alpacas will be free to roam in the field, and you are welcome to quietly enjoy their presence. Any aggressive behaviour towards the animals (chasing, grabbing, loud noises etc) will not be tolerated.
What to expect:
This is an outdoor experience which takes place in the stable area as well as in the fields, so dress for the weather and wear sensible footwear. NO open toed shoes are allowed. A short walk from the car park is required with some uneven terrain. We offer a picnic table with deck chairs and a sun umbrella for shelter. A safety briefing is provided. This is a guided and supervised visit. Children are very welcome but will need parental/adult supervision at all times.
For those with accessibiity concerns, please check in advance of booking as accessibility is bumpy but manageable in dry conditions. We can also provide access directly to the stables for wheelchairs and transport to the fields, if notified in advance.
Fair warning: By the end of the day, you may very likely be enchanted by alpaca magic! If so, come have a chat, fall in love and we would be happy to tell you more about how to start a herd of your own. Oh, and if you look too keen, you may end up assisting with a few daily chores!
